Product Details

  • Broad Transmission Range from 1 - 25μm
  • No Absorption Bands between 12 - 25μm
  • Ideal for Longwave IR Spectroscopy

ISP Optics Cadmium Telluride (CdTe) Windows provide broad, flat transmission across the infrared spectrum from 1 - 25μm. Cadmium telluride is a water insoluble material and is relatively low cost compared to infrared materials with similar transmissivity, such as diamond. ISP Optics Cadmium Telluride (CdTe) Windows are ideal for use in low power CO2 systems or in spectroscopy applications requiring longwave IR transmission. With no absorption bands between 12 - 25μm, Cadmium Telluride (CdTe) Windows are also used as substrates for infrared filters.

Note: Cadmium telluride is the softest of the II-VI materials and can be easily scratched or cleaved.
