Senior Optical Design Engineer

Job Description

• Outputting optical design concept per requested specification (CM which including performance/ theoretical yield/ package size/ estimated cost etc) independently in requested time frame.
• Peer reviewing/tolerance re-run /other necessary analysis for the optical designs done by other designers.
• Co-operating with PM and Principal Engineer to do root cause analysis and production support for the self-designed lens (or other designs done by oversea colleagues) if any production & yield issues during launching.
• Working closely with Principal Engineer and Production Engineer to do root cause analysis and production support for the low yield lens.
• Follow temp tasks assigned.

Qualification Required

• Bachelor degree or above in Optical or Physics related.
• Working experience: More than 8 years of design experience in imaging lenses or related fields; ability to independently complete optical design in accordance with required specifications; experience in precision optics, metalworking or imaging lens production and manufacturing is preferred; experience in opto-mechanical design is preferred.

Skills and Abilities Requried

• Personality: Proactive, Open minded, Willing to learn & accept new things, team player.
• English: CET 4 or above. Have good read/written English skills.
• PC: Be familiar with ZEMAX software is a MUST, be able to use MS Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint for daily work. Be familiar with CODE V, SOLIDWORK and/or other optical design software is a plus.
• Optional: To whom who has lesser optical design experience but has strong willingness &sense of optical design, be eager to learn proactively, “Optical Design Engineer” and/or “Associate Optical Design Engineer” are open for suitable candidates.

Working Benefits:

• Working Hours: 5-day workweek, 8 hours per day, with weekends off.
• Salary Range: RMB 20000-40000
